licht is a young design studio founded by Linda Suchanová and Jan J. Richtár – a creative duo united by an interest in functional aesthetics, honest materials, and a playful approach to design.
We are fascinated by materials themselves. Rather than covering or over-stylizing them, we reveal their natural character and raw beauty. Authenticity is our foundation. We create modular, adaptable objects – much like the everyday life they are meant for. Our goal is simply to make good design.
Our focus is mainly on product design – furniture, lighting, interior and fashion accessories – but we remain open to temporary installations and other formats that make sense and offer room for creativity. For us, compelling content or collaboration often matters more than a fixed discipline.
Linda Suchanová
I hold a master's degree from the University for the Creative Arts in the UK and earned my bachelor's in design at the Faculty of Architecture, CTU.
I enjoy turning ideas into unique designs by exploring materials, technologies, and creative boundaries. From research to prototyping, I use every opportunity to push the possibilities of product design.
Jan J. Richtár
I am a master's student in design at FA ČVUT. I enjoy creating, whether it's a technical project involving calculations and working with various programs, or something more artistic.
In addition to product design, I also work in graphic design and motion graphics. I aim to not only design products but also create visual stories that help explain and communicate their essence.
My goal is to find a balance between aesthetics, functionality and the narrative the product tells.
