Czech Design Award Winner 2025
The E3 module by Studio Licht has won the Czech Design Award 2025, whose theme this year was "tradition." The winning piece will be on display at Czech Design Week 2025 in the Mánes Gallery from September 11 to 14.
The design of the E3 module was inspired by the fading tradition of home conversation and bar corners, which were a common feature of Czech households, particularly in the 1970s and 1980s. At a time when social life often unfolded in the home, and people would gather over a drink, listen to music, or simply converse, the home bar was a symbol of hospitality and cultural background. This very atmosphere inspired us to create furniture that revives this tradition while adapting to the needs of a contemporary lifestyle.

Instalation for Bokovka
For the wine bar Bokovka, we created a light installation to mark its annual move to the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
This year, too, we wanted to bring a touch of its magic into the festival atmosphere of Karlovy Vary. That's why we designed a light installation inspired by wax candles slowly melting during long evenings spent over wine. The ambient lighting provided an intimate atmosphere and allowed for privacy in both calm and lively moments, enhancing the unique experience of Bokovka's visitors during the 59th edition of KVIFF.
